Texans -2 over Browns

Wow this line moved fast. Opening up as a pick em - it literally moved to Houston being a two point favorite in a day. The smart money is on Houston in this contest. Teams in the NFL do not go winless forever and we feel that Houston is a better team than the Browns, regardless of the record that they may have. With David Carr’s favorite target Andre Johnson finally getting healthy, we look for Houston to surprise some teams during the second half of the season. The Texans played valiantly in the first half last week versus the Colts, but simply lost their composure in the 2nd half. We still respect Don Capers as a coach and we think he will have his team ready for this contest.

The critical aspect to this game is if the Houston offense will be able to truly establish the run. It was clearly the focus last week as Dominick Davis was a complete workhorse. What the Texans must not do is turn the ball over. Their -7 turnover ratio has lost games for them before they even had a chance to get going. We see this as a perfect opponent for the Texans. A team with a below average offense who concentrates on running the football (Houston’s defensive strength), playing at Houston, with a below average pass defense. If David Carr can establish playaction early in this contest, which is partially dependent on Davis’ ability to get yards on the ground, we see Houston being able to score a decent amount of points.

Take Houston as they beat the Browns for their first win of the season.

Predicted Final:

Houston 26

Cleveland 20

Receiver Andre Johnson and guard Zach Wiegert aren't expected to play. Walker and Babin may not be activated, either.

LOL go Browns
