The Pittsburgh Penguins

Did anyone else make the same mistake I did this season and tonight and take the Pittsburgh Penguins. I was listening to the game on radio and they sound pathetic. On paper, they shouldn't be this bad, their defence is very porous but their offense seems to be sputtering. Forget about Lemieux and Crosby a team with Recchi, Leclair and Palffy should not be struggling this bad.

Pens power play has sucked. All of Lemieux's friends he brought in have looked slow & played sloppy.....BIG TIME! They are mishandling passes, fanning on shots, and getting outskated.

Crosby is the only one who is playing with any heart & determination right now. Everyone else is going through the motions. I like Eddie O, but he sounds like a beaten man anymore whenever he speaks.

man, my fantasy angle was big time goaltending and defensive scoring.....my top defensive pick was gonchar....he is utterly worthless. But think of this......leclair, old....recchi, old, lemieux, old...gonchar, worthless and aging....goaltending is a mess...i mean they are slow, old and bad. i'm not touching them the rest of this season except for totals. this is the worst start in penguins history. and i can just imagine sitting in that dump of a building they call the shitgloo and watching this stuff. i was there for a NJD game 2 years ago on a friday night and i bet there were only 7500 people there....that place is a dump

I hope Penguins have a really bad season, and poor turnout is a good thing for me as well.

See, back in 1996, my city (Winnipeg) lost it's heart. We're still hopeful that we will get a team again soon, and right now pittsburg is our best hope.

I cant f-ing believe that shit either. Not complaining but man would I be pissed if I took Atlanta. Pittsburgh had to break out sooner or later perhaps this is the beginning of the offensive fireworks. Of course Steve Shields is no Dominek Hasek.....

if you are going to bet on the pens, just bet the over in every game they are playing. it has hit 70% of the time this year. they give up alot of goals, but can score too.

don't give up on this team yet. i still think they will make the playoffs. they have so many new players that have never played together its gonna take a littke, plus, they have taken the majority of their games to at least overtime, they aren't all that bad points wise right now. thiabault hasn't played hockey in over two years he has really screwed them so far giving up horrible goals.

Yeah well you could have been on the other side right? I am frustrated with the NHL this year too, but the man isn't getting me out quite yet. I've still got some fight left in me. :beer2:
