especially when operating on a Monday Night Game. Usually, the linesmakers are good enough to set the line at a number that they receieve close to 50/50, especially on a big game night like MNF when its the only bit of action going. Doesn't it scare you all to see 70% of the public on the falcons even with its steadily rising number? It does me. Regardless of who is playing/injured etc. I am starting to feel an under game along with NYJ +points. I will wait it out and try to play both just before kickoff. I just don't see how you can't do this. By the way, I am new to this forum. Hello to all and I will begin posting plays. I will be in on NCAA/NFL games and maybe a baseball game or two. Good luck to all, including faders.

The current numbers on Sportsbook make me worry about my ATL pick a little.
Side
ATL 78%
NYJ 22%
M/L
ATL 88%
NYJ 12%
Over 71%
Under 29%
It's just one game.
Not much of any money is coming in on the Jets.
IMO the sharps and general public is on the Falcons which is why the line has steadily climbed. Key is the sharps got a good line instead of the shitty 8.

True
The Falcons have only 1 win this year by a margin of more than 8 points and that was against Minn. :dunno:

The Jets have lost 4 of 6 by 8 or more. The last coming to the Bills on the road.....one would think that if the ATL is worth a shit they could pull off the 8. :prtytme:

I agree with you and that's where I put my money.
But doesn't it seem like ATL plays down to their opponents a lot?
It's monday night--they'll be focused.

Divisional games (Bills beating Jets) are much different than non conference games (Jets vs Falcons), or even non divisional games....not to mention the other ton of factors such as match ups, style of play, how those wins/losses were accomplished (was the score run up by turnovers, etc), motivation (or lack there of), injuries, etc
For example...
San Diego crushed New England in New England in week 3
then
Pittsburgh lost at home to New England in week 4
This would tell me San Diego should steamroll Pittsburgh in week 5....yet Pittsburgh beat them outright, in San Diego.
Public being on a certain side does not always mean they will lose obviously, but I see this line as a tad too high for my liking due to the Falcons being a publicly loved team because of Vick, and no respect for the Jets, who actually can play some good defense and ball control, and often stay in games with their style of play.
Just my 2 cents on tonight's game. Don't know if I'm even gonna play it after the shit day I had yesterday, LOL

Atlanta is a notoriously bad favorite, see last week against NO for example. However NO has talent and it shows up from time to time. But Atl being bad fav can be explained by the fact they are usually bad. This could be their first back to back winning season in their history. okay now for the game
I work with Jets fans and they think the Jets will get killed. Their main concern is Atlanta's pass rush versus Vinny the statue. My concern is Atlanta getting a lead and then trying to coast. However since its Monday night I say they stay focused.
