Let's say you wanna bet the OVER on a game with the line at 66. Then the line moves down to 65.5 so you're happy because now 66 points is a win for you instead of a push. HOWEVER, later on, just before game time, the line is at 62.5. Wouldn't you get nervous that WHY did the line drop so fast? Obviously there is action on the UNder so the bookie is moving the line. But WHY? Is there somehting you feel you don't know?
Likewise, on the contrairy, when a line moves from 48 to 50.5 I feel much better about the OVER because there's gotta be a lot of action on the Over and so they're probably good for 56+ points and the bookie is only trying to balance the book. Besides, I'm only sacrificing a feild goal, if they are very likely to go over 48, they are almost as likely to go Over 50.5.
