Does anyone else think this game is a trap?

Northwestern is coming into this game off b2b wins as a dog barely winning against Wisconsin at home and Purdue on the road. Michigan State is coming off b2b losses to Michigan at home and OhioSt on the road. I have won with Northwestern 2 weeks in a row and I feel a 3rd bet on them may be a poor bet. I think Michigan State is gonna win this game and may also take their frustrations out on Northwestern and blow them out at home IMO.

Michigan State leads the all-time series 31-14, including a 17-4 mark at home. Drew Stanton is 9-2 in his career at Spartan Stadium.

Any thoughts?

I think Michigan State rolls all over Northwestern. MSU could very easily be undefeated. They beat Notre Dame at South Bend, and should have beaten Michigan and Ohio State. Coach Smith was really pissed off this week about the Ohio State game, blaming the coaching staff for the loss. I think the coaching staff will be focused as will the players. Northwestern can score but their defense sucks. They can't stop anyone. Purdue put up 29 points last week, and Drew Stanton is a hell of a lot better than Purdue's QB. I think this is going to be a high scoring game. I won't be surprised if MSU hangs 50 or more on NW. I see a final score of MSU 52- NW 31

I follow MSU as they are a local team for me and this is a tough call. This team has had a tendancy to melt down after looking great under John L Smith(not a great coach). MSU does not have a good defense and the NW spread offense is very tough to defend. I don't think State willl stop them too many times and I know NW will not stop the very high powered MSU offense. Could be a blowout by MSU but they are a unpredictable bet. State's Defense comes and goes. They need this win in a big way to stay in the hunt for the Big Ten title, one more loss and they are done. They will win this game but almost 2 TD's may lead to a backdoor cover the way NW can score. I think there is better value on the board. IMO.. I will probably do a 7 point tease with MSU and South Carolina.. My gut says MSU will cover but they are just too unpredictable this year and have uncanny tendancy to screw me like the Lions and Wolverines do.(LOL).. BOL whatever you do..

NW has been gold as a doggie and I have ridden them too, but my gut say the same thin gPOtter. At first, my eye were wide when I saw 12.5but on review, MSU is very tough at home, coming off a loss to the Buckeyes that they could have won without making mistakes.
NW defense is horrible. Drew Stanton is salivating! I think they will put similar numbers up like Wisky and score in the 49-56 point range on NW. State's defense is not good but comapred to NW's, it is very good. I see this as a trap and State winning 49-35. For that reason, I will pass on Cats this week and waith for another day.

MSU is famous for tanking a season after losses that they should have won. Their defense is horrible. Northwestern offense is potent. I'll be on the Wildcats!
