COLTS -13.5 vs rams
over / under 51.5

St. Louis will be playing its first game without Mike Martz, who is expected to be out for six weeks...Assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Vitt will be interim head coach.

When was the last time that an "Interim" coach actually worked out? We have a proven "NON-leader in Vitt (27 years in the league as a coach and never a head coach) who doesn't want to step on the toes of Fairchild (offense) and Marmie (defense).

Larry Marmie will continue to guide the defense, not that that is great news for a team that is currently 31st of 32 NFL teams in points allowed (29.6 per game). It will be interesting to see what if anything the defensive-minded Vitt tinkers with in that area, and how his presence in the head chair might affect his relationship with Marmie. What kind of influence will Vitt have with Fairchild....Vitt has never coached on the offensive side of the ball in his 27 years as an NFL coach.

Any way you slice it, there will effectively be three people sharing decision-making responsibilities in St. Louis for the next month-and-a-half. What's that saying about having too many cooks in the kitchen?

The Colts are 3-0 in Monday Night games at home during the Peyton Manning era, and have averaged 39.3 points per game in those wins.

There is a lot of talk that the Rams will play ball control and eat up the clock with the ground game. Impossible when you're behind by 20 at half time, and with the 31st ranking in points given up per game, this will easily happen.
