St. Louis vs Indianapolis -14 51.5
I haven't had too much time to support my picks due to working two full time jobs. I found a little time today to explain my reasoning behind the pick, so you don't think that I just throw picks out. Anyway......
The Rams travel to Indianapolis tonight sporting the number 2 offense in the NFL and Bulger is the leagues leading passer with 1648 yards. They are averaging 25.6 ppg and 22 ppg on the road. The only problem is that the Rams are allowing 29.6 ppg and 28 ppg on the road. Coach Martz will be gone for a few weeks so assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Vitt will make the decisions. Offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild will call all of the plays for Bulger and gang. This should lead to starting the game trying to establish a running attack more than through the air. RB Steven Jackson should see plenty of ball time, but keep an eye on Faulk who is 41 yards from passing Franco Harris for 10th on the all time rushing list…and he has a chance to do it against his old team. A major negative is that the Rams will be without Bruce.
The Rams are:
3-0-1 ATS the last 4 vs Indy
7-3 ATS as RD
5-1 ATS when the O/U line is 50+ vs and opponent off of BB SU wins.
5-1 ATS on Monday Nights
1-4 ATS as Dogs on Monday Nights
8-3 ATS last 11 games in October.
Indianapolis is the only undefeated team left in the NFL. They defend their 5-0 record with a defense that allows a mere 5.8 ppg. In fact the Colts have not given up a point on defense before the team has scored at least 24 points. The most points scored against them in a game this year are 10. Thus far Indy’s defense has 20 sacks…Stl has given up 20 sacks so far. However, the Colts have not faced an offense ranked any higher than 16th. Peyton Manning has never lost a Monday Night game in Indianapolis and he hasn’t thrown an interception in those games. Earlier this season Peytons little brother Eli (spoiled rotten little fuck.....I'm from San Diego) tattoed the Rams with 296 passing yards and 4 TD's. Major negatives are that safety Mike Doss suffered a hyper extended left knee this week in practice and may be slowed tonight. DE Dwight Freeney did not practice due to muscle tightness in his rib cage. Safety Bob Sanders also missed practice to rest an injured left arm.
The Colts are:
1-4-1 ATS as Favorites vs NFC west opponents
4-1 ATS at home on Monday Nights
4-2 ATS as HF on Mondays
2-10 ATS as HF’s off Non Division Game in October
7-17-1 ATS vs opponents with sub 500 records in October
6-15 ATS at home off Non Division Opponent in October
10-18-2 ATS as Favorites in October
Totals:
Rams:
11-2 OVER on Monday Nights
4-1 OVER this year
6-1 OVER vs AFC
Colts:
0-5 UNDER this year
5-1 OVER last 6 Monday Nights
4-1 OVER last 5 when O/U is listed at 40 +
All said and done (and they is much more that I didn’t write, didn’t have as much time as I though) I love this game and the surface will aid both teams.
St Louis +14 LOST
Stl/Indy OVER 51.5WIN
Parlay Stl +14 & OVER 51.5LOST
