Thanks Joe, Zen, Eagles, Andre, BigBag...Let's cash this week and get me back to plus on the year in CFB!!!! YES!!!

Other information for newsmatter only...

ESPN Game...NC State second straight week on the Espy Station usually plays very well. Clemson is coming to town and many Clemson alumni in the area as well and of course we have our beloved State Fair going on at the same time so there is plenty of tailgating to be going on.

NC State defense has had a challenge handed to them in this matchup. What I don't like about NC State is the inconsistency of their offense and changing their OC the last 3 out of 4 years under Chuck Em Amato. Jay Davis looks like crap most of the time and he can find his receivers when he's not on his ass! Toney Baker is a bruising RB. Clemson has a very under-rated QB in Whitehurst and Bowden isn't a terrible coach, however he's no Bobby or Terry, he just gits er done!! Laying 5 1/2 is pretty close to the number I came up with for NC State. NC State won as outright dogs vs Ga Tech last week. I like Clemson's offense more than I do UNC's offense, which handed it to NC State in the instate rivalry game 2 weekends ago. This is too much of a toss up for me, hence I passed on it.

USC vs Notre Dame, is another game I've passed on as I have USC winning this tilt by 19, however something just ain't right here and I don't like the fact that the public money is all over ND to cover that spread put out by the OM's. Bush is healthy and Lindell White is a horse, and you have the stunting and blitzing that the defense will try and showcase for ND vs USC on Leinhart, who has 3 gazzelle type of receivers to throw too and I think Jarrett might be the difference in this tilt. Will it be a blowout on National TV? That is so hard to say. ND lost at home to Michigan State and Stanton had a great day passing on them. USC's Leinhart in my opinion is hands down the best passer in the nation and will be a good pro, provided he stays healthy. The blitzing and stunting the USC front line will handle as they have in their schedule thus far this year. Oregon got out front on USC pretty quickly and managed to be shut down by USC the rest of the game in Eugene. Last year ND was shut down the 2nd half as well. On paper this game looks like a complete mismatch however Brady Quinn has been on fire this year and he's relished this new system in place along with the motivation and confidence bestowed upon him in coach Charlie ' lil tuna ' Weis. I just don't trust ND's defense to give USC any trouble come the 2nd half and that is where I think USC will exploit some weaknesses. Will it be by more than 11 or 11 1/2 points though? ND has the ability to be the "Giant Killer" as ESPN has called them in ruining winning streaks, however I really think USC will win this game straight up which all depends on mother nature as well. There will be tons of action still left to come on this game and the wizeguys have been waiting to see where the next to last closing number will land so they can pounce on it HUGE... I wish I was in Vegas to watch the window at the MGM an hour before kickoff...ugh!!

Bama vs Ole Miss is another line that intrigued me this week as Alabama moves forward without their whippet receiver Protho and are off a great win vs Florida, where they simply manhandled Urban Meyer's club and took them out mentally. Coach Shula's defense is the biggest reason they are where they are today and the emergence and health of their QB. Ole Miss does play defense, however they are having a tough time scoring. At home they played like crap to Wyoming and they beat Memphis on the road just barely. Does new HC Oregeron have enough talent in his club to keep Bama close? It's scary to see that line open -13 1/2 for the Tide and drop to -11. I know the wizeguys had to pounce on that number quickly, because there are more Alabama players then there are Ole Miss players when it comes to public money. I smell something fishy in this game and knowing that Bama doesn't play well on turf bothers me very little with the athletes they have. Knowing how the SEC officials love homedawgies in the past makes me scratch my head. I think Bama wins this one straight up 27-10, however this is not a play...

GLTA on what ya play this weekend. It's tough to bet on your home team's and it's fun to bet against public teams.

Don't know where the "Bama doesn't play well on turf" comment is coming from. The only turf game they've played this year was against South Carolina at Williams-Bryce Stadium, and that was a 34-17 shellacking, with the Gamecocks' last TD being a trash TD late.

Also, the line has remained pretty steady at -12.5 on most books I've been looking at. Where in the hell have you seen it at -11? I need to find out what book that is so I can join.

My mistake Ramma. Everywhere I looked this morning I copied the lines and mistakenly put -11 for Bama after the ND/USC analysis...They are -13 1/2 to -12 1/2 at 8 different spots...

Also FYI and you were close, Alabama won 37-14 at SC.

Ole Miss has played one home game on the board, lost to Wyoming 24-14 and beat Citadel which was off the board.

GL to your Tide!!

I see that most are on the bandwagon going with the Clemson Tigers this evening and after going thru all the information I can on this game I decided to go with a 6 pt teaser...

Chuck Amato is 11-2 last 13 in a revenge situation, meaning if his club has lost to a team in which he did last year, his team has won outright 11 of the last 13...ATS he's only 8-5...Jay Davis from what I've heard and seen this week seems to be in a groove hitting Clark and TJ Williams with passes and Toney Baker has the makings of a quality power runner and he's only a freshmen...Clemson has had a tough schedule all year long and is coming off a 4th Qtr comeback loss @ Wake Forest? You're kidding me right? Wake Forest? They beat A&M and Mary-had-a-little-lamb however they lose to Miami & BC and Wake the last 3 weeks...hmmm...Another fact is on ESPN NC State has been pretty good straight up and ATS...This line should be closer to -3 for NC State and the total is about right hence my teaser play:

NC State pk & Over 40 (3 units)

This should be a wildman's game...See if you can find me on TV as I'll be in the nose bleed section on the 50 yrd line this evening!! hehehe...

I like the Florida play. 6 points is a lot to give this team.

As far as the USC-Notre Dame game goes, take it from a USC alum, this is one game you lay off. Everyone is going to jump on the Irish bandwagon because they are playing good ball, and get USC at home. The fact that USC has defeated the Irish by 31 points for 3 years in a row will also not be forgotten in South Bend. The biggest factor favoring USC is the fact that they have superior talent. Their players are much better than Notre Dame's team. As we know, superior talent does not always win games.

Thanks BigDaddy.. I think Leak comes through for the Gators on the road...Gators are definitely better than Tennessee on paper and in my opinion as well. LSU might have a tough time in this tilt from the get go!!

I wanna play USC/ND game so badly however I will be glued to the groove-tube and just watch for now...Outlaw lines I've seen and heard from have ranged from -14 for USC to -10 1/2 (lines the local man is using) which is not uncommon I reckon depending where the local man is located.. I really think the athletes will prove to beat 'lil tuna's club in South Bend, but by how much no one really knows. Turnovers and execution as well as special teams will play a huge factor. Also home field advantage thus far in this series hasn't helped the Irish to date and it didn't help them vs Michigan State either.

This is not an official play, however the score my numbers came up with is USC 40 and ND 17 for what it's worth and that adds in turnovers and field position for the kicking game of both teams.

GL and thanks!!

Updated selection for this evening if you can get this line...

OVER 56 Rice/Tulsa (10 units) Both teams have leaky defenses and Rice alone is averaging giving up over 50 pts per game...Tulsa racked up over 50 against N Texas...

Added picks for Saturday:

Houston -11 1/2 (1 unit)

Arkansas +7 (1 unit)

Baylor +2 1/2 (1 unit) Hate going against the Huskers however they haven't exactly put away anyone and this is their first road test vs a club that's overachieved thus far and finally has a home game.

good call on the Ala not playing well...cause they did not

WildBillPicks7
10-15-2005, 08:20 PM
Thanks Ride..however, I had no play on Bama...I thought they'd win..but that was only the opinion...The cover however I didn't like, hence they didn't cover but that line was too tight for me...

Domer's covered tough and that line swinged way too weird for me... -13 USC to -11 then back up to -13...Too much action and not too much value...That's how Vegas cashes in on the PUBLIC!!

Still waiting on a couple of late games...COME ON Washington State..

How about them straight up ranked teams going down today?

Penn State, Michigan State, Florida (SEC GOY WINNER though, ugh) CAL, now probably in all likelihood UCLA going down too.

Texas Tech is unranked[oops] and next week, I predict they'll be at least 8th in the top 15...Sick em Q!!! hehehe... just jarring wif ya!!

GL tonight ya'll!!

Sorry Ute....I was tracking some other information however I didn't have Tech in the top25 from my sheet and listening to those jargon-esque sports know it alls, such as myself :thumpself; I got sidetracked on where they were at in the Polls... I'm sure they'll climb now with all the top 25 clubs going down straight...

Thanks!!

9-9 overall including the NC State mess on Thursday for +10.2 units thanks to the total on the Tulsa/Rice game...Added 3 games yesterday that all bit the dust...Houston, Arky-saw and Bay-ler...

Interesting matchups next week and can't wait to see the lines that are put up this evening...

Southern Miss @ UAB

N'western @ Michigan State

Michigan @ Iowa

Tennessee @ Alabama (figure Bama should be -3 or less in this game)

Texas Tech @ Texas (figure UT should be -14 or less in this tilt)

West Virginia @ So Florida (looking at this game very hard with WVU off stunning come from behind win vs L'ville)

Auburn @ LSU (interesting here too, LSU should be at least -7, possibly more)

GL this coming week...Be back later!!
