These are not my plays so don't take any offense or refer these to my picks...These are what the public thinks about the lines this week with the huge movements of more than 2 1/2 pts in one direction or anuddah!!
USC opened -15 way back when and is now -11 and found a -10 1/2 at many places...Remember that public opinion is what the oddsmakers want so they can rake in the dough...USC destroyed ND last year and the only thing different this year for ND is they have some confidence and they did manufacture a loss in OT to Michigan State after coming back down by 2 touches late in the game. USC's defense is hands down better than any one that the Fighting Irish have played thus far and the two RB's for the Trojans are no slouches and better than anyone than they have seen.
SMU opened pk and now -2 1/2, and the Ponies upset UAB in Bama last weekend. ECU has played better of late with Pinkney getting his arm in shape..ECU played a poor Rice defense last weekend and were down 28-24 with around 10 minutes left. ECU is terrible on the road and SMU off a fresh upset win.
UAB -6 now -3 1/2 vs Marshall. Blazers upset last weekend at home vs SMU and Marshall off huge beating to VTech however they still covered the number. Marshall is basically playing with many backup players from last season and this season have yet to really muster any offense. Hackney will have his throwing corps ready for this challenge in West Virginia..
North Texas -3 to pick vs Florida International. NT has been hit by the injury bug and has failed to generate the type of numbers it did to win the Sun Belt last year. Flo Int'l first season in the SBC is looking for the straight up victory with a quality QB you could compare to what Troy had when NT played Troy at home a couple of weeks ago on TV (ESPN). I like Don Strock's club too...again not an official play.
GL this week. I'll have trends later..
