NCAA Overall (12-7, +2 units)

2-2 Last week but hit a 2 game parlay with Maryland and Bowling Green to put me up for the day. Didn't post it b/c it was a latenight drunk decision, and I like to play it sober on the board here. Liking a lot of the favorites this week. Will post my early picks for now with additions later, but I wanted to get these lines before they moved. GL to all!

Bama -12.5 Gotta Roll with the Tide this week. Facing a lackluster Ole Miss squad with no offense but a decent defense. Many look for this to be a letdown game for Bama, but the Rebels won't be able to score (see last week's 7 points they put up in the first half against the powerhouse known as the Citadel and 27-7 victory) Bama has the better athletes, pure and simple, not to mention that about the most enthusiasm that Orgeron has been able to drum up lately is a fistfight between him and OC Noel Mazzone. I look for a 17-21 point victory, with the Bama scrubs possibly scoring a late TD.

F$U -7 Being a Virginia alum, my Wahoos suck this year. Sure, this game is in C-ville, and UVA always plays hard there, but FSU's stout defense combined with Leon Washington and Lorenzo Booker and all their supreme athletes will just be too much for UVA. Also of note is the possible suspension of UVA starting right tackle Brad Butler for a cheap shot he threw last week on Mathis Kiwanuka that got caught on national television and called out by the announcers. UVA's best defensive player, Ahmad Brooks, is also still nursing an ankle injury that's slowing him down.

Louisville -7 Petrino's Cardinals are looking like their old selves again after last week. Granted, this is an away game, but WVU doesn't have the offensive firepower to keep up with Louisville, and their tough defense will only be able to do so much against Petrino's offensive genius.

Auburn -7.5 Everybody is so down on the Tigers this year and expects them to have trouble with Arkansas in Fayetteville. The Tiger defense is among the best in the country, and their run defense will be able to hold off the Arkansas running attack, and we all know the Razorbacks can't pass. Auburn will regain public notoriety with a sound road win this weekend. 2 TD's sounds about right.

Man, I can honestly say that I like all of your picks and will most likely play all of them. However, if I do take Auburn, it'll be on the ML or teased to -1 with Louisville.

Thanks for the promising comments fellas! Like the idea on the moneyline ozz. I'll have to see about taking that one when it comes out on my book.

JoePa, what do you think your Nittany Lions are going to do this week against Michigan in the Big House? I'll be rooting for ya.

Jamma...I like the Lions chances if they don't letdown after the big win over OSU. Me thinks that Michigan is not like the Wolverines of old and PSU will win that game and build up steam for the stretch run....they owe the UM for a few pastings! Doesn't mean I will wager on them though, like to play it safe!!!

Washington State +5

While the Bruins have looked good so far, I just feel like it's time for them to come back down to Earth this week when they play Washington State on the road. The Cougers have been known to play tought at home, and they get their biggest deep threat, Jason Hill, back for this week's game. I see Maurice Drew putting up nice rushing numbers, 130 yds or so, but the Bruins' defense will be their problem, and I like the homedawg in this one and almost played the Moneyline.

NC State -4

I like the moxy of Wolfpack QB Jay Evans last week AWAY from Raleigh, and I like it even more at home. Wolfpack D is stingy, and when this line dropped below 5, I started to get that itch. Besides, I had to get some action tonight! GL to all!

Well, some said they would shoot themselves in the foot and they sure as hell did. Not a good start, but it was an impulse play anyway.

Baseballer, you Barners never cease to amaze me with the shit talking. Here's to both state universities winning this weekend. Let's hope Kenny "I love candy" Irons can have a good game against the Hawgs.

all 4 of the main plays happen to be touchdown-plus conference road chalk. are they the better team? absolutely, which is why theyre favored. but its very likely that at least one of those dogs could win outright, busting any teaser.

Ok Prodigy,

First of all, I've capped all of these games, and there is only one teaser on my card for this weekend, unless you magically bet on another one for me. The only team on that 4 team teaser that has a chance to bust the card is West Virginia, and only because they play tough at home and Brian Brohm has yet to prove he can play well on the road. I don't know what you've been smoking, but UVA, Arkansas, and Temple are not going to win outright in those games. Being a Bama fan, I wouldn't mind it if Auburn lost, but it's just not going to happen. Being a UVA alum and friend of multiple players on the team, I know that Ian Yates-Cunningham, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Brad Butler (that's 3 starting offensive linemen) and Ahmad Brooks are either going to be out or less than 100% for this game. F$U will definitely iwn this one by more than 7 fucking points, and I'll happily eat crow if they don't. And yes, I already addressed the fact that I'm on an unusually high number of favorites this week, and that most of them happen to be in the road. Thanks for playing though.

Oklahoma -6.5

Word has it that Peterson is going to play. I like Stoops' Troops to bounce back this week into the win column by at least a TD with the running game back.

Let the road chalkfest continue. I think I'm done for the weekend now.
