I haven't been around long but I have noticed that when some schmuck losses his arse and asks for advice most are not so quick to spit some of the sports gambling commandments. So, I was thinking that there has to be some book that lays down the law and has been the authority on sports gambling reads.

What books have you all read that really gave some no nonsense advice about sports gambling. At Amazon, if you search for "Sports Gambling" in books alone, it returns 45,854 hits. So if some of the pros in here could narrow that down to say 10 books, I think it could be very beneficial to everyone.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance,
PB

Oh, just to clarify. I am not looking for a book that spends fifty pages explain what a spread is. I realize that most texts would have to cover it but I am not a newb and not yet a novice. Make sense?

Read the book........

HOW PROFESSIONAL GAMBLERS BEAT THE PRO FOOTBALL POINT- SPREAD by J. R. Miller.

It's the first book you really need to read to understand how things work.

Then look for books by Roxy Roxborough, Bob Mc Cune and Stanford Wong.

The Bob McCune book was supposed to be the good one.

Thanks for coming to the rescue beer.

McCune's education of a sports bettor is a good start. JR's focuses on the NFL. Depends on what you're going for. Wong has a few brigh points, but most is for the new sports bettor.
