Ok- I used this forum last year, and as a new guy hardly ever made a post. I have noticed the trends this year are VERY VERY different. Almost half of the topics are from newbies. Anyone else noticed the same thing? I think its fine to have newbies here, but the last thing i wanna see when i just made a bet is a newbie claiming a win on the same play, makes me wanna crawl in a hole and cry! ha ha
Maybe newbies should be required to make 50 posts before they can start up their own topic or something.:dunno:

obviously im biased on this right now bc i am a newbie, but i think that youre making a ridiculous request. first of all, if you dont want to see who a newbie claims to have won on, then dont look at his thread. secondly, im under the impression that a newbie should be making his own picks rather than just tailing and commenting on others' picks. after all, this is the point of this forum- to listen to and be heard from others. another problem with this is that it hinders newbies ability to gain the proposed number of posts if they can't post threads.

Listen bro-
Im not coming down on anyone inparticular. There are obviously going to be exceptions to what I am wrote.
However, you proved my point for me. You said if I don't want to read what a newbie posted then don't open the threads, thats the whole point, Nobody wants to know what a guys record is if he has 15 posts. Plus its getting a little hard to know who is a "newbie" or not because every single new person wants to post every single play they make. I just think it clogs up the forum a little bit. However, it is a request that will have no chance of happening....
GL and prove me wrong!
Hope you kick ass this year!

all that matters to me is that a newbie only post the record which they have from posts. you start clean with a new record when you come in, past wins and losses are meaningless. secondly, dont count a win unless you posted it. otherwise i am happy to see a newbie come in and post plays. because they are a newbie does not mean anything in terms of their ability to pick winners. some great cappers are coming to this site every day, newbie or not their input should be considered on an even playing field. some people do clog up the forum, so keep junk in either the toilet or general discussion. dont pat yourself on the back or rub in someones face when they lose. i welcome anyone and everyone to post as many picks as they want, but make sure they are truly your picks and try to give reasoning to these picks. post counts really dont matter much. sometimes i feel like we beat up on the newbie a little too much because they are new to the forum, with that being said people who have been in the forum dont start shit for no reason either. just be honest and reasonable and anyone can post whatever plays they want.
just my opinion on the matter
