Well....after a solid week 2, I had an absolute bloodbath last week. Lost a couple late in the game (isn't that always the story).


I don't like tonight's or tomorrow's game with the points, but I do see value in teasing the two home teams down.

Here's my Saturday Card:


<b>Michigan State -9 1/2</b>


State owns this series. Last two were 38-25 at home and 49-14 on the road. I remember the road game. I had Illinois and they got absolutely torched early and often.

I'm not making that mistake again. Michigan State has Michigan and Ohio State next, so they will hammer one more opponent before they start to face the Big 10 big boys.


Prediction: Michigan State 48 Illinois 20


<b>Maryland +3</b>


Can this team keep screwing me? I think the trend starts this week. Wake Forest is awful. They lost to an unspectacular Vanderbilt team at home. I know Vandy is 3-0, but talk to me after you watch them play some solid teams.

Maryland has won the last 3 in this series by a combined 86-49.

I'm thinking the trend continues.


Prediction: Maryland 27 Wake Forest 21


<b>Michigan -2 1/2</b>


I may be kicking myself for this one, but after watching Wisconsin play against North Carolina, I am still not overly impressed. Still impressed by the win over Bowling Green? Not me. Boise kicked their face in.

Being at home will help Wisconsin, but I expect a low scoring Michigan win with Henne showing some of the promise that made him such a highly touted recruit.


Prediction: Michigan 20 Wisconsin 13


<b>UTEP -2 1/2</b>


For some crazy reason, I have been following UTEP. Granted the game with Houston was a little close for comfort, but UTEP can put up some points.

I like New Mexico, but on the road, I don't think they play close.


Prediction: UTEP 37 New Mexico 23

I hate Penn State and they go on the road to a team that can put the ball in the endzone. They don't play much defense, but at home I can see this game going back and forth. Game is won by no more than a TD either way.

And yes, I do believe the Wildcats can win the game.
