I'm looking at the Bowling Green/Boise game for a small play tonight. Omar Jacobs in my opinion is the best QB in college football right now. My question is just how bad is BG's defense?? I mean, they've never been world beaters, but they gave up 31 points to Ball St for crying out loud. Ball St hasn't mustered any offense against anyone before or since the Bowling Green game. Bowling Green has made me a lot of money over the past 3 years, but I don't think it's a good idea to side with them in this game. Any thoughts?

Boise has been vulnerable against the pass this year, and even dating back to last year. The Broncos let DJ Shockley have a career day on them passing the football, which is crazy because Shockley isnt a guy you think of as a pure passer who is going to drop back and pick you apart in the passing game. Jacobs has so many options on offense, its not even funny. Bowling Green is going to move the ball up and down the field throughout the night.
The problem, and you alluded to this in your post, is that Bowling Green is very soft against the run and theyre not very big up front on the defensive line. They have a talented secondary, but anyone with an effective running game can exploit Bowling Green(and even though Boise has been off to a slow start this year, they certainly fit the bill of being a strong rushing team). Ball State lost their starting running back in the offseason to suspension and their de facto starter (Wynn) had a big game rushing the ball against the Falcons and then was a non-factor against Auburn.
No doubt Boise has been a money machine on the blue rug, but BG is one of the few teams that can match them score for score, so it will be interesting. Very tough game to bet as far as the side goes. Falcons could easily win outright, or their defense could fail them once again in a 49-35 type of game.
