hey guys, question related to the thread that was going on a few weeks ago regarding increasing bets with wins. I have just increased my original stake by 21%, I know you guys said something about increasing your bet size by 20% as well at this point. (some different opinions on this) my question is, do you believe you should ever decrease it again? let's say you get cold and lose your 20% gain, do you then back it down to your original unit size?
example, start with $1000, was betting $20 game, now up to $1200, increase wager to $24, if get back down to $1000 do you decrease wager to $20? or keep at $24?
thanks and good luck tonight.

Yea, I think it's definately the thing to decrease it if you lose back down. The idea is to maximize winning by playing 2% adjusted for your new total account (I think).

cool, I will wait for one of the official money managers to respond

beancounter, no you never decrease your wager size. You must be willing to risk your entire bankroll.
If you decrease then you're just penalizing yourself for having a bad run and make it longer for you to regain. I personally play 1%, but 2% should keep you from ruin.

thanks...I am glad I asked. interesting....that is counter-intuitive, (for me anyway) but I guess most things are in this game.
