YTD: 4-1

Notre Dame +7.5 over Michigan

Carr is a Nervous Nellie over this one, and he should be with the way N.Ill ran all over his defense. The Weis Guys from South Bend are believing in Charlie's coaching ways and he will have this team ready to silence the Big House! Turnovers will be the key. This series is usually thisclose, so more than a TD is a bonus here.

Air Force -7.5 over SD St.
Flyboys threw the ball late to beat Ty's Huskies and now go against a team that let UCLA run all over them. Key here is SD St. has 3 green linebackers. It's tough tostop the option even if you have 5th year seniors! Air Force at home will overwhelm them with a good all-around team effort.

Va Tech -21 over Duke
Dukies were turnover-plagued vs. ECU last week and lost. Look for a repat performace this week against the Hokies "D" and special teams. Beamer says he will take the wraps off Vick this week. Look out!

As the late Bob Murphy (Mets announcer) used to say after a Met win: "And now for the happy recap."

Air Force -7.5 -W
Flyboys are as good as advertised, handing SD St., 41-29

VaTech -20.5 - W
As advertised the Dukies turned it over and over and over making the Hokies easy 45-0 winners.

Notre Dame +7.5 - W
As advertised, the Irish were a live underdog for the second week in a row as they silenced the 111,000 in the Big House, 17-10. The linemakers will compensate accordingly when they are home to undefeated MSU next week.

Y-T-D: 7-1

I'll be heading out to South Bend on a chartered bus of ND fanatics from Jersey on Thursday, to see the Weis Guys home opener vs. MSU next Saturday so I don't think Ill be able to find a computer to post my picks. I wish everyone a successful week 3.
