whether or not you support the president, is this even right? what the hell happened to free speech? he didn't cuss, he didn't flash his right boob, he didn't take off a towel and jump into T.O.'s arms, just expressed what he felt about the president and this country, as radical as the message may be. If this country is so set up to help the blacks and minority's less why the hell are they the ones who always get the new schools after they have torn apart the schools before it? Why do they get the food stamps? Why is every benefit from the city I live in only offered in the minority areas? Why do I have to travel to the west side ghetto if I would want to aplly for disability insurance?

I would love to see the reactions of people if the local and federal government yanked all the free housing and food stamps and everything else then see if they feel like they were being helped or not.

Although I agree the government sucks at doing it's job anymore.............and this country is nothing more than a corprate whore..........I highly doubt race had anything to do with the slow responce from the government.........it's just simply that they miscaculated the extreme conditions that the storm had created...........the looters created.........and how many people didn't evacuate the area LIKE THEY WERE TOLD TO DO!!!

Having said all that I still think the responce time for the good people of LA was unbelievably slow.

that in a nutshell caused most of these problems and the fact that they sit 16 feet below lvl.

not 1 single person/corporation/agency is at fault here with the exception of the local New Orleans govt by not making the mandatory evacuation more mandatory.


and as far as saying it was slow because they were black is just ludicrous. maybe most of them that were there was mostly black people because******drumroll please***** cause ****67%**** of the people in New Orleans are black!!!!!

I agree, I was just pointing out how frustrated I am with censorship. I firmly believe everyone should be able to express their feelings, thoughts and what not, even if they are wrong, or it makes them look stupid. I really don't think race was an issue here either, but just the fact that anytime anyone says anything about the president, they have to protect him as if he was a 5 year old that might cry because he got his feelings hurt. I'm not just talking about the current president either. I mean even though I didn't vote for the guy, now that I think about it, he sure had been unlucky in that two of the worst events in recent memory has happened in his term. I know I know the first event that happened is up for debate whether or not measures could have been taken to prevent it. But this last one was just simply a natural disaster. better preparation, people listening to the government to evacuate, and better response are also more debateable issues, but the hurricane herself could not have been stopped.
