Your question has many answers!

For starters I am a FOOTBALL FAN. I have well over 10 different team shirts. All teams that suck! Why cause I like to root for the underdogs. Do I have a Bears shirt? Yes, Why cause they suck!

2nd Yes I'm a Bears fan! Our they my favorite team? No!!!! Why, Cause I don't have a favorite team unless they are doing something for me. Follow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Hugh into fantasy football so players mean more to me than teams.

Thanks for showing interest in me RJP? Look forward to your post this season..............................

First round holdouts or any holdouts for that matter equals the biggest jinx to their careers and their teams. Benson will be lucky to rush for over 800 yds and last the entire year without an injury. The gaul of these plays holding out for cash. If you are passionate about playing the professional sport in which you play, then go out and play and let the contractual crap take care of itself. I've yet to see in over 20 yrs of doing this stuff (handy-crapping) a player go out and have a great year after holding out contractually.

Players that come to mind: (also borrowed from Mel Kiper Jr's article to back my source information)

Ki-Jana Carter, RB, Penn State (1st overall, Bengals, 1995)
Brian Jozwiak, OT, West Virginia (7th overall, Chiefs, 1986)
Tony Mandarich, OT, Michigan State (2nd overall, Packers, 1989)
Lawrence Phillips, RB, Nebraska (6th overall, Rams, 1996)
Art Schlichter, QB, Ohio State (4th overall, Colts, 1982)
Heath Shuler, QB, Tennessee (3rd overall, Redskins, 1994)
Kelly Stouffer, QB, Colorado State (6th overall, Cardinals, 1987)
Blair Thomas, RB, Penn State (2nd overall, Jets, 1990)
Andre Ware, QB, Houston (7th overall, Lions, 1990)
Trev Alberts, OLB, Nebraska (6th overall, Colts, 1994)
Anthony Bell, LB, Michigan State (5th overall, Cardinals, 1986)
Todd Blackledge, QB, Penn State (7th overall, Chiefs, 1983)
Bob Buczkowski, DE, Pittsburgh (24th overall, Raiders, 1986)
Rich Campbell, QB, California (6th overall, Packers, 1981)
Tom Cousineau, MLB, Ohio State (1st overall, Bills, 1979)
Mike Croel, LB, Nebraska (4th overall, Broncos, 1991)
Eric Curry, DE, Alabama (6th overall, Buccaneers, 1993)
Jim Druckenmiller, QB, Virginia Tech (26th overall, 49ers, 1997)
Clyde Duncan, WR, Tennessee (17th overall, Cardinals, 1984)
Steve Emtman, DT, Washington (1st overall, Colts, 1992)
Desmond Howard, WR, Michigan (4th overall, Redskins, 1992)
Mike Junkin, LB, Duke (5th overall, Browns, 1987)
Shawn Knight, DT, BYU (11th overall, Saints, 1987)
David Klingler, QB, Houston (6th overall, Bengals, 1992)
Eric Kumerow, OLB, Ohio State (16th overall, Dolphins, 1988)
Ryan Leaf, QB, Washington State (2nd overall, Chargers, 1998)
Tommy Maddox, QB, UCLA (25th overall, Broncos, 1992)
Todd Marinovich, QB, USC (24th overall, Raiders, 1991)
Keith McCants, DE, Alabama (4th overall, Buccaneers, 1990)
Dan McGwire, QB, San Diego State (16th overall, Seahawks, 1991)
Rick Mirer, QB, Notre Dame (2nd overall, Seahawks, 1993)
Bruce Pickens, DB, Nebraska (3rd overall, Falcons, 1991)
Jack Thompson, QB, Washington State (3rd overall, Bengals, 1979)
David Verser, WR, Kansas (10th overall, Bengals, 1981)
Dan Wilkinson, DT, Ohio State (1st overall, Bengals, 1994)

I'm sure there are other notable players, however this recent list basically helps validate the fact that holding out helps no one!!

This years busts to come besides Cedric Benson will be, Ronnie Brown (has yet to prove he can catch a pass and get to the outside instead of running over people), Pac Man Jones (midget who will get crushed by blockers downfield and who's mouth make no sense at all, he should try being a rap star instead, er, poolitically correct "hip hop"), and coming soon, Kellen Winslow Jr, who's proven if you act like a moron in college, you'll be a moron the rest of your life!!

OUTTTTTTTTTT

WB he still was a steal in my mind for a number 8 pick! Don't know if you follow FF but we start 3 RB and I will be using him as a bench player! Anything can happen, hoping he is a steal-sleeper for me!

Have a good one

Hey Billy. I'm in FF as well (fantasy football for those wanting to inquire) and No one in our league out of 12 teams took Benson. He could come out and surprise some folks, however, I won't touch him. I hope he does well for you though.

We start only 2 RB's in our league and can carry no more than 4 on our roster. I have Droughns, Westbrook and Fred Taylor..Our league is also an automated league where you have to rank the players and the computer does the rest. You have to rank the rounds you wish to take a position as well as ranking each position, ie., QB's, Defenses, kickers, yadda yadda.

Hope you win your league. I hate finishing less than 1st..LMAO!!

Good luck!
