I was in 6th grade and laid down on a pro football 3 team parlay.......when I was in this little corner still filling out my sheet, a sheriff's car pulled up outside and I tossed my sheet into the pot belly stove they had stoked up. The deputy comes in and yells out loud...."hey Joe (to the owner not me), what the hell is the line on the Browns-Steelers game".....LMFAO

Well back in the day when I was a Deputy and I went into a store to ask the Owner for a line on the Browns - Steeler game.... LMAO

Actually back when I was 15 yrs old. I was working at a shoestore in a mall and I use to place my bets through my manager who "relayed" them to the book. Well after a couple weeks or so of that I finally got pissed off that the games I lost, got in to the book and the ones I won he was never able to get in for me. Come to think of it that guy stills owes me and my friend about $300 a piece. :bang:

I was about 12 or so and I used to pick games straight up and keep a win loss and % on how I did. For some reason was very naturally "statistical" along with a huge passion for sports since I was even younger.

I did that for a few yrs until high school when we ran a weekly nfl pickem where everybody threw in a dollar and guy who got the most right won the pot.

Then fantasy football came along. Then one day Im 18 or so in a Reno sportsbook and I pick up a copy of the las vegas sporting news. (I think that was the name). I saw a sportsbook called esb, english sports betting that took wagers over the phone.

That was my start. ESB later went on to be a bust and ran off with everybody's money. I used to LOVE betting on props! What a sucker I was. I lost for years before I even got a whiff of winning. This is a tricky game, but beatable if you have patience, learn from your mistakes, and learn what to look for.
