After a 3-0 week last week, looking to keep 'er going:
Wednesday, Aug 24
Calgary/Toronto OVER 55
Looks like another shootout in the making. Calgary has an explosive offence lead by offensive player of the week, QB Henry Burris. He throws for over 300 yards every game, and has the wheels to scramble as well (96 yards rushing last game). Calgary also gives up a lot of points, and I see Toronto QB Damon Allen carving up the young rookie D-backs of Calgary.
Friday, Aug 26
Winnipeg -4.5 over Hamilton
Winnipeg blew out Hamilton by 30 two weeks ago, and this time they set the line at 4? And, how did Hamilton respond to that poor performance against Winnipeg? Got blown out by 24 against BC last week. Ti-cats are in trouble, and yes this game is in Hamilton, but I don't see that mattering. Winnipeg is on a roll with a healthy QB Glenn, winning 2 in a row convincingly. The Ti-cats have a brutal receiving corps, and that is bad news in the CFL.
Saturday, Aug 27
Saskatchewan +7 over BC
I like the Riders to pull out the upset, and win this one outright. They are coming off a bye week, at home in front of a packed house, and have had time to get some injured players healthy. Sask has lost three in a row because of terrible turnover problems, and the week off should have corrected this. BC coming in overconfident at 8-0, but are due for a loss. Starting QB Dickenson is out with a seperated shoulder, and the very qualified back-up Casey Printers is said to have a sore shoulder as well, although officially listed as healthy.
GL this week to all CFL fans!!
