I like betting because I like to prey on the weak. and the money isn't bad if you can withstand all the fish in the pond. same holds true for sports gambling.

an accelerated form of investment.
I know squat about the stock market, I know less about the Dow Jones than I do pretending to know about sports, yet I still am more comfortable putting my money on sports than the stock market.
it also gives me a high that can only be matched by freebasing grounded up moonrocks (i saw it on the simpsons one time and stole that line LOL)
Beerman you made me think of another question. haha thanks!

Because you can't win all the time.
See I have other question for you RJP these are to easy for you because they are geared toward poker players.........
The sports gambler would be more along the lines of emotions and what role does emotions play in thier betting games.............
I'll continue after I eat.......... I'm starved!!
ok questions for a sports bettor would be............
Do you feel an emotional attachment to the plays you make?
Does losing all your bets on saturday morning ruin your saturday night?
Do you make bets based on the way you feel about a game and refraim from using stats?
Do you pick all your games on stats only?
Do you have a lack of emotional attachment to your plays while decideding what to bet on?
Do you obsses over picking plays or do you lack in analysis?
Do you bet simply because you crave the action??(Billy)
Do you bet simply to make games more intresting to watch?
Do you ever place wagers where you know the wager will most likely lose??
When you lose a game that you picked what usually was the thing that made the bet lose?
Do you feel an emotional attachment to the plays you make? only if they're on the panthers!
Does losing all your bets on saturday morning ruin your saturday night? if I lose all of 'em them it hurts but I get over it.
Do you make bets based on the way you feel about a game and refraim from using stats? no
Do you pick all your games on stats only? only in baseball
Do you have a lack of emotional attachment to your plays while decideding what to bet on? yes
Do you obsses over picking plays or do you lack in analysis? no
Do you bet simply because you crave the action??(Billy) nope. i like the action but it's because I feel I have an edge.
Do you bet simply to make games more intresting to watch? no, but why else would i watch a wnba game? lmao
Do you ever place wagers where you know the wager will most likely lose?? yes. but really it's only with huge underdogs in baseball. you figure they win 35% of the time but the odds have them profitable then you play and expect to lose more often than not... but you come out ahead in the long run.
When you lose a game that you picked what usually was the thing that made the bet lose? the stupid manager/coach!! lmfao
I'm sorry beerman, what I meant to answer for the last question is that nothing made it lose. They're not all going to win!! Some will lose, and that's just the way it has to be.

Well this is a good question Beer.
I entered this SB world just as I hit college. One of my good friends told me of an offshore account to bet the Superbowl. So I put a few hundred in and won.
Then I moved on to NCAA Basketball. I loved the game and knew a lot about it. In my first year I made over $4,000 that season.
So here I am, I do it because I can make money at it. I am and always have been very smart with my money. I am very disciplined and I think that is a good reason as to why I am succesful.
However in this point in my life, my main focus has been my job and trying to plan a wedding lmao, so this summer I had almost little to no time to look at games.
Now my fiance is off to school so I can focus on Football and then get into some NCAA Hoops!

i gamble so when my team is covering after a score i can yell fuck ya thats what im talking about.
or when they let the other team score SO THAT TEAM IS COVERING i can scream, you fucking idiots, could you not see they were going to throw a screen. dammit i cant believe you let em go 57 yds for a TD you loser piece of shit.
i repeat this til the game is over.once game is over i do one of 2 things. if they cover i smoke a bigass fatty and drink a few beers. if they lose i beat the dog and still fire up a fatty and drink a few beers til next game start.
other than that i love the high of waiting to win or the agony of defeat.

Something I would like to add. THis happen to me yesterday.
When you are playing bad and making bad plays shut it down before you kill yourself. I made a horrid donkey play yesterday with a chip lead of a final table and lost all my chips becaus eof it. that was the last game I played the rest of the night

Must be using the coin you got in change from the hooker in Laurel..... I told you about that
do it purely for the challenge of winning - the money is almost irrelevant.
