CFL Week 8/18/05

Not doing that well of late in the CFL, going 1-3 on non-posted games last week, -4.5 units...

YTD 11-12, +.70 units

This week's games:

Ottawa -2 1/2 (2 units) Winni just 2 wins and minus 4 scoring margin. Ottawa looking for a strong finish this season.

Hamilton +20 (1 unit) Don't like laying this many with the better BC Lion club vs a hungry 0-7 club looking for win #1 still.

Over 51 Toronto/Edmonton (1 unit)

I absolutely LOVE betting Ottawa for some reason!

I mean come on... A 20 point spread, that just doesn't happen even though it is the worst team. To me people are probably expecting a blowout, but they normally happen in like 3-7 point spreads.

Oh well, 20 just seems like way to much. Even though I am a Lions fan!

Digger....Well, Hamilton lost by 30 to a 1-6 Winnipeg team last week, so 20 doesn't seem like too much facing a 7-0 BC team. Khari Jones looks to be starting for the Ticats, so that might give them a boost to at least cover. BC's offence is so good, I'm staying away from this one altogether.

I also like Winnipeg in the other game, Ottawa seems to just squeak by with lucky wins, and I see Winnipeg coming on with Glenn at QB, Roberts gaining big yards, and Stokes playing special teams AND now slotback.

Glenn is a HUGE improvement over that stiff Tee Martin. It amazes me to hear the TSN announcers make excuses for Martin, saying he's a "young" QB.....geez, he left Tennessee 6 years ago!

Well, to me... just seems like everyone is expecting a blowout and in most cases it usually isn't. But I hate betting huge spreads cause anything can happen. If they are up by like 14 points they ease off a little and don't try to score but rather kill time.

But your right, they are the worst team and gotten blown out by the Blue Bombers.

The line has dropped all the way to BC -18 at my book, so it looks like most agree with you and have their $ on Khari and the Ticats. It moves down much futher and I will be forced to play BC. I think I'd take them at 17.

20, is kinda wierd... 17 at least its 2 TD's and a FG... makes it a little easier.

This is good actually, Then the half and quarter will drop and I want to play those!
