UEFA Cup takes place on Thursday with the the 2nd round of qualifying as they kick off the first leg of the two legged clashes. Some very interesting matches are taking place. Will have a bunch more but I'm just getting started and lines are moving so I figured I'd start posting the games. Will have more either later this evening or tomorrow morning. Best of luck to everyone!!!!

UEFA Cup - 2nd Round Qualifying - 1st Leg

1* FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (Ukraine) (AH -1/2) (-148) Over FC Banants (Armenia) - 10:00 AM

Dnipro has gotten off to a rough start in the Ukrainian Vyscha liga as they are just 1-4 through there first 5 this season. Still I have enough confidence to back then in this road match as they face FC Banants from Armenia. Banants is extremely lucky to have gotten to this stage of the tournament. In the last round they lost the home leg to Lokomotiv Tblisi (Georgia) 3-2. The two goals they scored were goals in the 88th and 90th minutes. The away leg was probably the biggest stunner as Banants somehow shocked Tblisis winning 2-0 and earning there advancement. Dnipro isn't the team they were last season but they do have a balanced squad. Players were fined after there loss to newcomers Stal this past weekend. Rumor had it there coach was on the way out as well. New just came out that there assistant head coach will coach the team in this away tie as the head coach has some health issues. Morale is low for Dnipro but they are facing a much weaker team in this game and the odds are still decent enough to take.

1* Grasshoppers (Switzerland) (AH -1/2) (-175) Over Wisla Plock (Poland) - 1:30 PM

This is a very interesting match. One strong squad in Grasshoppers who are off a resounding 3-0 win over Young Boys in league play and are 2-1-1 overall this season against a very unpredictable Wisla Plock squad. Wisla is just 1-2 league and are said to a so-so team this season. I just think Grasshoppers at home should be way too strong here in this tie. If you have the option to bet O/U for this game take the Over. There should be a handful of goals scored.

Good Luck to All!!!!

1* Grazer AK (Austria) (AH -1/2) (-150) Over Nistru Otaci (Moldova) - 11:30 AM

Can't really say much on Nistru. They finished in 2nd place last year and this season has yet to start for them. In the last round they knocked out Khazar Lenkoran of Azerbaijan 5-2 on aggregate but that was more then expected. Now they are home to face one of the toughest teams in Austrian soccer. Grazer is 3-2 on the season and have played some good ball so far. They should be too strong for Nistru in this match.

1* OFK Belgrad (Serbia & Montenegro) (AH -1/2) (-151) Over Lokomotiv Plovdiv (Bulgaria) - 11:30 AM

Two teams who've just played one league game so far this season meet up in S&M to play the first leg of this tie. OFK got a solid result at home drawing Crvena Zvezda 2-2 while Lokomotiv got hammered by one of the league favorites in Bulgaria 4-2. Main reason I'm going with OFK here is that Lokomtiv has had some really poor results in preseason and there home opener was far from impressive. OFK is said to have a young inexperienced team but very talented. Should be a close game here but I give OFK the advantage.

1* Esbjerg fB (Denmark) (AH -1/2) (-155) Over Tromso IL (Norway) - 1:00 PM

Well I think reason enough should be that Tromso hasn't won a game in league play since 5/8. In that time they have 5 Losses and 6 Draws. Not much confidence for them heading to a solid Esbjerg team. Esbjerg came very close to not making it to this round of the UEFA Cup. In the last round they actually dropped a 2-1 defeat at home to Flora Talinn of Estonia but finally woke up in the away leg and won by a resounding score of 6-0. Esbjerg is off a 4-0 win last weekend in league play and they should have more then enough to take the win at home against a struggling Tromso squad.

1* AFC Rapid Bucuresti (Romania) (AH -1/2) (-295) Over FK Vardar Skojpe (Macedonia) - 1:00 PM

Let's just say Vardar is extremely lucky to be here. Thanks to a 1-1 draw at Elbasani (Albania) they probably would not have made it. In there tie with Elbasani they drew two times 1-1 and 0-0. They head to Romania and face one of the top squads in the country. Rapid easily disposed of St. Julia of San Marino last round winning 10-0 on aggregate. In there league opener Rapid narrowly escaped with a 1-0 win. Rapid should be far too strong for a weak Vardar team.

1* Viking FK (Norway) (AH -1/2) (-217) Over Ryhl FC (Wales) - 2:00 PM

Ryhl coach had admitted they go into this game as heavy underdogs. Viking already took one team out from Wales being Portadown 2-1 on the road and 1-0 at home. Viking is one of the main contenders for the Norwegian Championship as they sit in 3rd place through 17 games. They are in solid from unlike there opponents who have only played two UEFA Cup matches and friendlies. Rhyl was a suprise team to get to this stage as they beat Atlantas on away goals to get here. They won 2-1 at home but lost 3-2 on the road. The two away goals is what got them to this point. Viking know what they are up against and should be able to take control of this game.

1* PFC Levski Sofia (Bulgaria) (AH -1/2) (+144) Over CMC Publikum Celje (Slovenia) - 2:30 PM

Levski are off a resounding 4-2 win over Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the opening of league play last weekend. Levski is one of the main contenders to take the Bulgarian Championship this season. As for Publikum they are an average team and have played three games in league play so far going 1-1-1. According to reports there play hasn't been good so I don't expect them to improve dramatically for this home game. Levski will either win this or tie this game. Odds are value enough to take the away win so I'll take my chances. They rate better then Publikum so the odds are worth it.

Good Luck to All!!!!
