Well, its alot sooner than I thought that I would say this, but it is time to get on the wagon of the Tigers playoff push. Dont look now, but they are 4 games back in the wild card race.
This team is playing great.
I have to be a dummy not to play this game tonight:
Detroit Tigers ML-110 (Robertson)vs Mariners (Franklin)
Nate Robertson is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in his last two starts. He allowed 3 runs and 4h while K'ing six over 7 innings in an 8-6 win over the ChiSox on Wednesday. Robertson is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA in two starts against Seattle. THAT is tasty.
Ryan Franklin gave up a season-high eight runs and 12 hits over 5 2-3 innings in a 9-4 loss to Toronto on Wednesday. Franklin is 1-2 with a 4.18 ERA in six appearances, including three starts, against Detroit- and this is a much better Detroit. Thats the pitching story. Now lets throw in that the Tigers are hitting the crud out of the ball, winning 12 of 18, and took 3 of 5 from wildcard leader Minny, who was just awful. Magglio Ordonez is en fuego- batting .426 with 13 RBIs during his 17-game hitting streak, and this Curtis Granderson is the next power/speed OF of the future as he has homered in 2 of his first three games and is 6 of 14. Lets keep it rolling in Seattle- Go Tigers!5 Units
I so badly want to bet Cle +170! but big CC has just been brutal as of late. If he was on his 'A' game, this line would be Oak-115
Lots of big doggies tonight- Greinke looks tempting, and Sheetes should mow donw snakes as well, but WHO KNOWS! Actually that Greinke+1.5 runs should be an auto play, but the guy just loses every game.
And the Mets should kick the crap out of Colo.
Ricky Williams is a moron. Im convinced.
I now go see this 'Wedding Crashers'- people are saying this is the funniest movie in quite some time.
