The wins just keep coming for the Los Angeles Dodgers and now they’ll take their show to the desert to face the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first of three at Chase Field. The Dodgers, who have a 15.5-game lead in the NL West, are on pace for 115 wins, which would get them within one of the 2001 Seattle Mariners. Los Angeles hopes to have a better fate in the postseason, as those Mariners couldn’t make it to the Fall Classic. Justin Turner raised his batting average to an NL-best .349 after hitting a two-run homer and scoring three times in Sunday’s 8-0 rout of the New York Mets – completing the first ever season sweep of the Mets. Tuner is 13-for-37 with a homer and five RBIs against Arizona this season, but just 1-for-9 with three strikeouts versus Tuesday starter Zack Godley. Dodgers superstar shortstop Corey Seager is 9-for-16 during his four-game hitting streak and is 11-for-35 with a homer, eight RBIs and six runs scored versus Arizona this season. The D’Backs, who have lost four of their last seven, lead the Milwaukee Brewers by five games for the second NL Wild Card and are just a half-game back of Colorado for the top spot. Paul Goldschmidt had a big weekend in San Francisco, going 8-for-16 with five extra-base hits (three homers), 10 RBIs and four runs scored during his four-game hitting streak. Arizona RF David Peralta has scored at least one run in five straight games for an Arizona team that is 36-18 at home this year.

Pitchers: Dodgers – Kenta Maeda (10-4, 3.79 ERA) | Diamondbacks – Zack Godley (5-4, 2.86)

Kenta Maeda earned his tenth win on Tuesday, allowing just two hits and striking out six over seven innings in a 3-2 victory at Atlanta. Maeda is on a bit of a roll, just like his team, going is 5-1 with a 2.20 ERA in a six-game span, but allowed 10 runs in nine innings in two April appearances against Arizona. Jake Lamb is 9-for-20 with two homers and six RBIs against Maeda, although he has limited the hot-hitting Goldschmidt to a 4-for-21 performance at the plate.

WIN A RINGSIDE SEAT TO SEE MAYWEATHER VS MCGREGOR

Godley is coming off consecutive scoreless outings after yielding three hits in six innings of Wednesday’s 3-0 victory at the Chicago Cubs in Wrigley Field. Godley has allowed seven hits and struck out 12 in his last two starts and pitched well against the Dodgers on July 5th. He allowed just three hits and a run over 5.2 innings to settle for the tough loss.

Just like I said before Sunday night’s game, I can’t go against Los Angeles right now. Yes, Arizona is a good team and have hit Maeda this year, but that was back in April when the D’Backs were rolling and the Dodgers were just getting warmed up. It’s really hard not to take the Dodgers at such a low price.

Pick: Dodgers -121
