The Miami Marlins look to keep the hot bats going when they open a four-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday night at Marlins Park. Miami has erupted for 65 runs in their past 10 games, including 40 to win five of the first six on their 10-game homestand. Justin Bour blasted a pair of homers on Wednesday as Miami completed its first series sweep of the year with a 10-2 triumph over Philadelphia. Marcell Ozuna also went yard and is 10-for-23 with three homers, six RBIs and five runs scored in his last five games while Giancarlo Stanton is batting .414 with three homers and seven RBIs since May 23rd. Even Dee Gordon is swinging a hot stick, batting .386 with eight multi-hit efforts in his past 15 games. The Diamondbacks are coming off a marathon win in Pittsburgh yesterday afternoon as they needed 14 innings to post their seventh win in the last ten games. The D’Backs blew ninth and 11th inning leads before holding on for the victory. SS Chris Owings, who had the go-ahead RBI single in the 14th inning, has driven in five runs in his last six games. Jake Lamb collected three extra-base hits on Wednesday and is batting .361 with seven homers and 22 RBIs in his last 19 games. The Diamondbacks are just 8-8 against left-handed starters as opposed to 25-14 versus righties.

Pitchers: Diamondbacks – Zach Greinke (6-3, 3.24 ERA) | Marlins – Jeff Locke (2016: 9-8, 5.44)

Ace Zach Greinke saw his five-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, allowing five runs on as many hits in 5.1 innings in a 6-3 loss at Milwaukee. Greinke has allowed nine homers in his last six starts. He owns a 4-0 career mark with a 2.96 ERA in eight appearances versus Miami and has kept Dee Gordon (.182) and Stanton (.167) quiet.

Jeff Lock, who signed a one-year deal in the offseason, will make his season debut on Thursday after being reinstated from the disabled list (left shoulder tendinitis). He feels healthy and posted a 1.77 ERA in four rehab starts. Locke owns a 1-2 career mark versus Arizona with a 6.57 ERA and 1.66 WHIP while allowing the Diamondbacks to hit .318 against him, with Paul Goldschmidt going 5-for-12.

Greinke should be able to quiet the Marlins bats and I can’t ever take a pitcher coming off a long DL stint. The D’Backs just keep finding ways to win. Take them here.

Pick: Diamondbacks -115
