The point spread for Thursday’s Sweet 16 game between the Connecticut Huskies and San Diego State Aztecs opened up at -1 on Sunday morning in favor of the 2nd seeded Aztecs at SportsInteraction.com and the total was set at 129.5. The spread has moved down to PICKEM and the total has been bet up to 130 as of Tuesday afternoon. So far, 61% of the betting public is on UCONN. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.
Huskies are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games.
Huskies are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
Aztecs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games.
Aztecs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.
Over is 17-7 in Huskies last 24 neutral site games as a favorite.
Over is 23-10 in Huskies last 33 neutral site games.
Under is 4-1 in Aztecs last 5 games as an underdog.
Under is 7-2 in Aztecs last 9 Thursday games.
My Prediction: UCONN has been on an unbelievable run since the beginning of the Big East Tournament in which they won 5 games in 5 days to take that title. The Aztecs needed double-overtime to knock off Temple to reach the Sweet 16. With a few more days to prepare, the Aztecs will be ready for the Huskies. Their size and length will give UCONN trouble. Kemba Walker will need another big game. Aztecs win this one by 5 or more.
