The Boston Celtics hope that Game 3 wasn’t a fluke and will hope to even their Eastern Conference finals series with the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 on Tuesday. Avery Bradley’s 3-pointer dropped in with less than a second left and the Celtics, blown out in the first two games and playing without star Isaiah Thomas, stunned the host Cavaliers 111-108 to end the champions’ 13-game postseason winning streak. Bradley’s shot from the left wing bounced on the rim four times before going down. It capped a furious comeback by the Celtics, who trailed by 21 in the third quarter before rallying. Marcus Smart averaged just five points on 2-of-11 shooting over the first two games but he stepped up with Thomas out and put on a show. He was was 7-of-10 from 3-point range while producing 27 points and seven assists. Center Al Horford, who was a major factor in the first two rounds, is just 15-of-38 from the field in the series. Jae Crowder produced his first double-double since March 24th, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, but was just 2-of-8 from three-point territory. The Celtics have covered six of their last eight road contests.

LeBron James took all the blame for Sunday’s loss as the future Hall-of-Famer went ice-cold in the second half. James finished with just 11 points, his fourth lowest total in 210 career playoff games and his worst recorded effort at home. “I had a tough game, period,” James told reporters. “I didn’t have it. That’s all I’ve got to say about my performance.” Head coach Tyronn Lue was quick to defend his superstar. “No blame,” Lue told reporters. “We’re all to blame. We lost; it happens. For a guy who played great for five straight months, he’s got to have a bad game sooner or later. He’s human. He didn’t shoot the ball well. It wasn’t his ordinary game.” James was on a roll with eight consecutive 30-points efforts and was averaging 34.3 points before he basically disappeared in the second half by missing eight of nine shots and finishing 4-of-13 from the field. Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 29 points and Kevin Love had 28. Love is averaging 27 points and 11.3 rebounds in the series while making 17-of-31 3-point attempts.

This was definitely a fluke game and no way James will have a poor outing on Tuesday. Look for the Cavs to get out to another huge lead, but this time, keep it and win by double-digits.

Pick: Cavaliers -14.5
