Recent Meetings
This week’s Thursday night contest has the Chicago Bears visiting a Miami Dolphins team with quarterback problems. The Dolphins won their first home game of the year last week despite losing two QB’s. Chad Pennington started but didn’t even last a quarter. Chad Henne couldn’t finish the game and might not be available for this game. That puts everything on Tyler Thigpen. He could help a running game that just hasn’t broken out yet. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are splitting carries and neither has had a break-out game. Between the two of them, they have only 2 runs over 20 yards. Thigpen played 14 games for the Chiefs in 2008 and ran for 386 yards and threw 18 touchdowns so he’s capable of running an offense. The Bears defense ranks among the best in the NFL, however. They only allow 16.2 points a game and only 82.3 rushing yards a game. Despite the Bears’ 3-1 road record, they haven’t beaten a team with a winning record away from Chicago.
