2007 SEC West Preview

It's time again for College Football to get underway.Here is a preview of this years' SEC West.

Well it looks like LSU Tigersmay be the team to beat this year. With a loaded offense thisyear and the #3 defense in the nation LSU is going to be seriouscontenders in the SEC West and to make the BCS Title game.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have a lot of talenton their offense. They have a front runner for the Heisman andan All-American tailback and kick returner. Their chances of makingit to the big game depend on their defense. They've lost a lotof players to graduation and the NFL. They've also have handedover play calling duties to a high school coach with no Collegeball experience.

The Alabama Crimson Tideis looking promising this year with a new coach, who has coachedin the NFL. This along with a decent offensive line to block fortheir runningbacks should produce points for the Crimson Tide.One thing they will need to work on is pass blocking. With only5 starters returning on defense the new coach is going to haveto whip'em into shape.

The Auburn Tigers aren't lookingto good this year. They won't have a decent offensive line toprotect their QB or make blocks for the runningbacks.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are going to bethe same team as last year except a little better of a record.They have 17 starters returning, a new runningback and 3 new widereceivers to help with their offense. With a fresh team as thisit's going to be hard for players to get used to each other.

The Mississippi Rebels are going to be anotherteam struggling trying to make it. They've had to replace theirQB and have lost all three linebackers to the NFL. A new QB ona struggling team is never a good thing in a tough division asSEC West. Their defense should be OK but the back seven may bea problem.
